The Workshop
Join me for a relaxed afternoon of wax sculpting to create your own unique silver ring using the lost wax technique. Focusing on organic shapes and textures, I will guide you through the creation of your dream piece of jewellery as we chat, sip and bite. Make it a date afternoon with your partner, friends or yourself.
The course is designed for a maximum of 8 people and lasts 3 hours 30 min.
Wax sculpting is a slow and gentle activity that requires calm and dedication. Once you get into the flow you will be surprised at the results you can achieve
By the end of the course you will have a complete idea of what the process of making a piece of jewellery through the lost-wax technique is and you will be able to turn your ideas into reality by creating the wax for your jewellery from scratch.
After the workshop, your wax model will be cast in the chosen metal, and polished and finished by me. Your piece will be ready in approximately 2-3 weeks.

Come with one or two ideas, either in a sketchbook, on your phone or in your mind, and be prepared to adapt your ideas to the medium.
Timing
After the workshop, your wax model will be cast in the chosen metal, and polished and finished by me. Your piece will be ready to pick up at the studio in approximately 2-3 weeks.
Shipping
If instead of coming to collect your creation at the studio you prefer it to be sent, there is an extra cost of €10 to be paid on the day of the workshop.

All the tools and materials used during the course are included.
The price includes the casting of one medium-sized silver ring.
It is possible, if you wish, to gold plate your ring and to set stones for an additional cost.
The cost varies depending on the design and weight of the ring.
If you have stones you would like to set, please bring them with you.

Location
Portuense 201 is a creative district located just steps away from Porta Portese, housed in a former cow shed that has been thoughtfully converted.
Originally, the site featured a central building that served as a cowherd, with a shop facing the street selling milk, a series of side structures for storing carts, and a manor house on the upper floor. Dairy operations continued here until the 1950s. In the years that followed, the complex hosted various craft workshops before eventually falling into disuse.
In 2011, the entire complex was restored and repurposed into a dynamic cultural hub. The rural landscape has transformed into a thriving district, home to a diverse range of studios and creative workshops.
